Cupping Therapy
Cupping Therapy
Cupping Therapy is a complementary hands-on technique that uses specially designed cups placed on the skin to create gentle suction. At Kinetic Experts Physiotherapy, Chiropractic & Rehabilitation Centre, cupping may be used alongside physiotherapy and rehabilitation to support muscle relaxation, mobility, and recovery.
The treatment is selected according to the patient’s condition and may be incorporated into a broader rehabilitation plan rather than being used as a standalone treatment.
Conditions We May Help With
Cupping therapy may be considered as part of care for:
- Muscle tightness and stiffness
- Neck and back discomfort
- Sports-related muscle tension
- Soft tissue restrictions
- Post-exercise muscle soreness
- Reduced flexibility and mobility
- Certain musculoskeletal conditions
Our Treatment Approach
Before treatment, the affected area and patient’s overall condition are assessed to determine whether cupping is appropriate. Cups are carefully positioned on selected areas for a controlled period.
Cupping may be combined with:
- Physiotherapy exercises
- Manual therapy
- Soft tissue techniques
- Stretching and mobility exercises
- Strength and rehabilitation training
Potential Benefits
When appropriately used, cupping therapy may help support:
- Muscle relaxation
- Improved local mobility
- Reduced feeling of muscle tightness
- Better flexibility
- Recovery following physical activity
- Overall comfort during rehabilitation
Personalized & Safe Care
Cupping is not suitable for everyone. Dr. Syed Jani assesses the patient’s condition, medical history, and treatment requirements before including it in a rehabilitation program. The technique is used as a supportive therapy alongside appropriate physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
